October School Holiday’s went off! 🚀
October Hols.
We have had an epic October Holiday programme, with 185 kids registered over 17 camps which has made this one an absolute cracker. The weather was absolutely brilliant (such a contrast to prev Oct holiday programmes) - with no need to enact our wet weather plans at all, and we were stoked to get over to Wainuiomata, Porirua, Makāra peak, Miramar, Polhill and Matairangi trail networks!
Camps started with our normals faves, the new to words, know your locals and 3 shuttle days, a new Trail First Aid session for teens equipping them with some skills to manage themselves and help others on the trails.
We had our first ever WORD holiday programme Funduro event, which included custom tee shirts, fun staged challenges, games, and most importantly points for being good humans! We had the best day on the trails and was capped off by a BBQ. We finished the week with a final shuttle and a day learning how to get airborne and manuals on the trail this Thursday.
