Bring a Friend Day

Biking is always better with friends! WORD bring a friend day on Sunday was a success with more than 30 kids bringing their siblings and mates along for a ride.

After check in, we started with our familiar (to some) bike and helmet check led by the WORD regulars, then played some quick games to warm up.

Go go go!

We then hit the trails to learn a new skill. For most of us it was “looking where we wanted to go” or for the older kids we introduced “trail scanning” and experimented with how we could use it. We all had a fun descent down Lazy Fern and then headed back to Mud Cycles to give our Big -Ups’ (WORD style compliments on what somebody else did great that day) and earn the highly sought after WORD sticker!

Riding is always better with friends!

Thanks to everyone that made it out, and thanks again to Met Service for providing such an excellent weather window! See you at the next one!
