Remutaka Whānau Ride Photo Diary

June 21st 2026 saw dozens of WORD whānau meet for a shared adventure! WORD was proud to host kids, cousins, and caregivers, parents, pooches and pals from across the capital! The wind had relented after keeping Liam awake the night before, and conditions were good enough for a mid-winter adventure. We were so stoked to share our new partnership with our community: Andy from Good Grief Bakery provided the perfect incentive to race back to the bottom for shared snacks and hot drinks! ‘Til next time team.

Family photo! Scroll to see how we got here.

The troupe seemed to keep growing as we went through Bike and Helmet checks with our teen leaders.

Over 20km shared, with young riding alongside the wise.

Plenty of carbs being shared around at the summit! Can’t believe how far those little legs can go!

Baked goods?! Best we speed back down…

Good Grief Bakery and Coffee Supreme feeding the troops post-ride!

No time to muck around getting off bikes with pastries on offer…

See ya next time, whānau!
